Tibetan Mastiff Puppy for Sale - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

$450

WangDo ("Conqueror" in Tibetan) is one of three black and red/gold traditional males in his litter of nine. His back left paw sports six toes (like his mother and grandmother) which indicates potential for a flare of fur at each of the four paws. His stature is tall / lanky with longer legs // different from his brothers who are stockier. Our family of six lived on the western China Tibetan Plateau for ten years, seven of those in a Tibetan village in the remote nomadic grasslands. There, in the high-altitude homeland of the Tibetan Mastiff, dogs are relied upon for herding sheep and yaks, protection, and devoted companionship. They are fiercely loyal and highly intelligent, well suited for colder climates. Tibetan Mastiffs are adaptable as house dogs but prefer the outdoors, even in freezing temperatures. During the past decade plus, our family has owned many loving TMs as we are enamored of their homeland, the people who originally bred them, and the dogs themselves. When we moved from the Rooftop of the World to a North Carolina grasslands farm in August of 2013 (), we brought four of our best dogs to help recreate the pastoral life we enjoyed in the Far East. Our NOMAD Farms family is happy to present this fine litter of eight born to native Tibetan-born and raised Tibetan Mastiffs. Dam Profile: Schatzi is the #1 dog from among Nora SangJes & Burleighs 2016 litter. We hand-picked Nora from infancy. This gal is a stand out, even among native Tibetan families, most of which have their own Tibetan Mastiffs. As long-term residents of a grasslands town at over 11,000 feet, we were stopped countless times for passersby to admire her quintessential Tibetan Mastiff features. Golden red from tip to tail with a full, pure white chest. Extremely heavy jowls, sagging eyes, and fur that flares out from her ankles (all sought after features in this breed). Large paws which turn slightly inward, giving her the appearance of a bear cub when she runs. Her genealogy is impressive (see pictures), with championship lines on both sides. (See pictures and note that the nationally renowned Guo Ji Yi Hao (lit. Nationally Number One) is Noras grandfather on her mothers side. We found Burleigh Heads in our provinces capital city on the Tibetan Plateau. His mother was their prize dam (traditional coloring like Burleigh) and his father was a stellar red TM from YuShu, a Tibetan region renowned for the highest bred Tibetan Mastiffs in the region. Burleigh is a standout for his size, voluminous mane (fur is easily seven inches long during winter), and unusual phlegmatic personality. He is a quiet fellow but easily enticed to play. Sire Profile: Earnest was born to our beloved Tibetan Mastiff pet, Rosie, in our own home on the Tibetan Plateau. He was the king pin in his litter of nine so we kept him for ourselves! His genealogy is both humble and impressive. Among the hundreds of grasslands Nomads and their Tibetan Mastiffs we befriended over the span of ten years, the dad of this sire was our favorite for his mild and loveable personality. Many Tibetan Mastiffs on the Tibetan Plateau are raised to be fierce guardians but this guy was unusually relaxed and open even to strangers. Of course, we were attracted to him for his extremely rare golden color which is almost pure blond in the summer sun. A monk had given this pup to our Nomad friends as a sacred gift. The mother of this sire was our own Louisa Rose, whose grandfather was a national championship dog in China. Standard CDC import immunizations were completed for Dams parents and Sire prior to our importing them in 2013. Copies of importation papers are available by request. These pups are not AKC approved as we have not explored the procedure for certifying native Tibetan Mastiffs whose lineage is only traced by photographs and seals of foreign origin, all in Chinese and Tibetan languages. Our TMs are native rural Tibetan, not bred in eastern China cities. For the pup you choose, we offer up to date immunizations and a Health Certificate (cost included) with the purchase of flight delivery option ($450 USA Domestic via PetSafe). We are setting flight dates to new homes for the beginning of March when the pups are 49 days of age. If you are interested in purchase, explore , see collection of photos on our FB page: NOMAD Tibetan Mastiffs, and write to nomadfarms@gmail.com. Serious inquiries only, please.
